What Kind Of Day Did You Make Up?

We’re making it up.  You do realize that, don’t you.

What kind of day did you make up?

Did something happen that threw off your
whole day, or uplifted it?

I was listening to a friend this morning as he spoke
of helping his daughter through some anxiety she
was having about a big upcoming event.  He listened
to her for a few minutes, and then suggested she turn
on the light.

By making the choice to flip the switch, literally, out
of the darkness she was sitting in, she was able to
re-assess her upcoming event and relax.  She made
a plan that would support her.  She remembered how
well prepared she really is.  She chose uplifting positive
thoughts, as well as solutions to things she needed to
address.

She went back to sleep and woke enthusiastically to a new day.

Are You Drifting or Living On Purpose?

To me Joyful Wealth is not just about money.

Money is kind of the by-product of Joyful Wealth living
–Living on purpose

There’s a new release by Napoleon Hill, Outwitting The Devil,
that is a supposed conversation he had requiring the Devil to
give up the secrets of how people can outwit him.

The biggest clue to Devilish lack of control in life is to drift
through life, without consciousness, without any plan,
without thinking, vision, and purpose.  The strongest
clue to outwitting the devil and thwarting his misery
is to stand up inside against the habits of drifting.

In a way that sounds like Duh, but it takes a conscious
decision to choose to live on purpose, not just drifting
through expected norms laid down by others.

I love being an entrepreneur because I am accountable
to myself and being in service to people who work with me.
I love knowing that I am the deliberate creator of my success
as well as my failure.  If I don’t like what I’m getting, then I can
change my thoughts, feelings (vibrational frequency), my
attitude, my activity and create more ON PURPOSE,

Working from home it’s easy to drift through the day and
wonder where it went.  I set aside a certain amount of
time to fritter, but fundamentally I stay on course, loving
every minute of what I’m doing, loving the results, and
expressing gratitude for it all.  But, that’s a whole nother subject.

Have a Joyful Wealth weekend, attracting love, joy, abundance,
and infinite possibilities.  Love, Sharon

Attract Joyful Wealth With A Happy Birthday Every Day

January 5 is my birthday.  It’s my favorite
holiday of the year!

Is it your birthday today?  Happy happy Birthday!

I don’t really track birthdays as much as I would
like to, so I am always happily surprised when
others remember mine.  I decided 50 years ago
to make my birthday special for myself, regardless
of anyone else.

January 5 is close to Christmas, so as a kid it kind of
got lost in the shuffle.  I had no control over most
of my life or so-called special days.  I did have control
of celebrating myself on my birthday.  Then, as an adult
I would throw myself a birthday party–it started out
just me, then became a major event, culminating in my
favorite party on my 40th birthday. (That’s a whole
different story.)

Then I started moving around a lot and frankly, turning
my life upside down.  So my next big party will probably
be my 70th!

So, what’s the point of this post?  We want to CELEBRATE
ourselves, our lives, our creations and our dis-creations.
As an entrepreneur working from home, it is especially
important to keep raising my vibration, feeling good every
day, so that I draw to me more good vibrations.

A birthday (mine or yours or someone else’s) is a great time
to celebrate all the good in life, to let go of things we’re ready
to let go of, and to hit the re-set button.  I love having a birthday
early in the year to plan ahead for the coming year.  But if my
birthday were in June, or some other month, I would use it as
a time to re-assess where I am and where I’m headed.

The point is to live in Joyful Wealth all the time, feeling good
and “gooder” every day.  I love knowing that I am in charge
of choosing better-feeling thoughts and celebrating the magic
of every moment.  From this place I get to say Happy Birthday
every day, knowing I re-create mySelf from moment to moment.
the Law of Attraction always matches my vibration.

Say Happy Birthday to yourself or someone else today.
What are 5 things to celebrate about yourself today?
What are 5 things you are grateful for in your life?
What are 5 things you are looking forward to (goals)?

Much love and Light, Sharon

Martin Luther King, Jr–A Testament to Infinite Possibility

It’s Martin Luther King Day.  I love that there is a
holiday celebrating the life and contribution that
MLK, Jr. made to our nation.

I was a teacher in the South Bronx in 1969,
ambitiously wanting to eliminate racism from
the NYC school system, and prepare the children
to stand up inside themselves to choose a life
of their own dreams.

I remember I was teaching a class in Black Studies
as a first year teacher, relieving the main teachers
for their break.  These were 5th graders, deemed the
most promising students. The only white child in
the school was in this class.

I had just finished sharing a Langston Hughes poem,
What
Happens To a Dream Deferred?  I asked
the class what Martin Luther King’s dream was.
One of the students stood up to say it, quite impressively.

Marvin woke up out of his usual disinterested stupor
as she spoke, but immediately slunk back down, with
“That’ll never happen,” muttered under his breath.  So
I asked him, “So, what happens to that dream, Marvin?”
And for a brief moment, I saw his brain in gear, wondering,
looking for an answer.  The whole class was quiet, also
wondering what he would say.

But then the main teacher, Mrs. Spiliotos had entered the
room and interrupted the rapt silence–”What do you mean
it’ll never happen?  Why, Mrs. Winfield is here [my name at
the time].  And, look, James is here [the single white child
in the school].

Marvin looked at me with the Light gone out of his eyes again.
The moment was gone.  I have always thought about it’s possibility.
Mrs. Spiliotos took back the class.

And today, there is Martin Luther King day, over 40 years later.

Where are those children today?  How many survived?  How many became an entrepreneur?

(I hope everyone of them, including Mrs. Spiliotos, gets to see Joyful Noise
and celebrate the distance.  If you haven’t seen this pure good vibration–go.)
